Snow / Inclement Weather Day and Delay Schedule

If conditions warrant that we delay start times or close schools, the following resources will used to communicate with our community:

• Information will be sent via ParentSquare to parents, students, and staff as early as possible (internet dependent)
• The district will post information on the website home page regarding closures
• The district school closure information line will have current information: (530) 283-6500 ext. 1 
• These public information platforms will be notified: KSUE radio stations 92.7, 93.4, 94.3 FM, KQNY radio station 91.1 FM, http://www.kqny919.org

On days that we know a storm is coming in, principals will be on-site at normal school start time.

On days when the conditions are poor or developing, we may have a two-hour delay on the school start time; this decision will be made by the Superintendent. 

• On a delayed start, school start time is two hours later than the normal start time. For example, if your school normally starts at 8:10 AM, on a delayed start school will start at 10:10 AM.
• Delayed bus stop pickup time is two hours later than your normal time. For example, if your normal bus pickup is at 7:05 AM then a two-hour delay will be 9:05 AM
• The bus route home drop-off time should remain the same as normal. However, some delays may occur due to road conditions
